The best time to visit Maharashtra is in the months of October through February.
Summers are quite humid. Monsoons extend from June to August. The coastal areas might not be suitable then but you can head to the hill stations and enjoy the shades of green and the numerous waterfalls.

By Air: Most of Maharashtra's main cities have domestic airports. The cities of Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur have international airports, ensuring it is well connected to various parts of India and abroad.
By Road: National Highway 6 and National Highway 17 are the major highways running through the state. Road trips to the state and along its coastline make for memorable drives.
By Rail:
Maharashtra has a well knit rail network with several super fast and express trains running to major cities across the country and within the state.
