The best time to visit Haryana is during the winter season from the month of November to March. The weather is perfect for sightseeing and being outdoors.

Summers in Haryana are extremely hot with temperatures going upto 47°C. It is not a good time to explore the state and touring Haryana is not advisable during this time.

By Road: Haryana is well connected by National Highways to many major cities and towns all over the country. Some parts of the state like Faridabad and Gurgaon are within the National Capital Region and are at a short driving distance from Delhi.
By Rail:
The main railway station is Chandigarh. Some other important railway stations of Haryana are in Haryana. Kalka, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Jind, Hissar, Ambala, Panipat and Jakhal. Some of the railway stations in Delhi serve parts of Haryana.
