Winters in Andaman and Nicobar Islands are between October and March. This is the best time for water sport activities from swimming, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling and more. The weather is pleasant making it a nice time to soak in the sun. Don't forget to experience the Film Festival (November) or the 15-day Island Tourism Festival (January), if you are visiting the islands during that time.
Monsoons see heavy rainfall with high humidity. Visiting the beach and water sports are not advisable during this season. Annual festivals of the state like the Music Festival, Monsoon Festival (August) Food Festival (September) are good experiences during this time.
Summer in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands starts in April and goes on till July. The afternoons tend to be quite hot, early mornings and evenings are perfect for exploring. The waves are gentle during this season making it a good time to be in the sea. The 3-day beach festival is held during the month of April and is definitely a dont-miss if you are visiting then.
